UIS OFBR TECH INTELLIGENCE // WARZONE PC

GPU COMMAND CENTER

A practical guide to NVIDIA, AMD and Intel drivers for Warzone: which version to choose, how to update without losing a stable setup, and what to check when crashes or stutters appear.

In brief · checked September 23, 2026
Activision now specifies exact driver versions to install when experiencing graphical issues in Warzone. UIS OFBR reports them as official recommendations for Warzone, distinguishing them from simply being the latest driver. Before updating, note your current version and keep the package available for a possible rollback. Primary source: Activision · Warzone PC Troubleshooting.

NVIDIA // GEFORCE

GeForce Game Ready 591.59 WHQL — RECOMMENDED FOR WARZONE

Release: December 18, 2025 · Game Ready Driver WHQL · compatible GeForce desktops and notebooks. Reason: Activision explicitly recommends 591.59 for Warzone when graphical issues occur. NVIDIA also released Game Ready 617.14 WHQL on September 22, 2026 for AION 2, CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day and The Witcher 3 Remastered; UIS OFBR records it as the latest GeForce release but does not promote it to a Warzone recommendation without game-specific confirmation.

Compatibility: verify your model on NVIDIA’s page; official Game Ready support for Maxwell and Pascal has ended and Activision lists 581.80 as the last recommended version for these architectures. Known issues: no Warzone-specific incompatibility is reported in the official sources reviewed; NVIDIA’s general release notes still apply.

UIS OFBR rollback: 591.44 for supported GeForce GPUs; 581.80 for Maxwell/Pascal. In any case, keep the version that was stable on your system.

NVIDIA RTX Workstation 582.08 — RECOMMENDED FOR WARZONE

Release: December 11, 2025 · RTX Enterprise/Workstation Driver R580 U6. Intended for: compatible professional NVIDIA RTX/Quadro cards; Activision lists this separately from the consumer GeForce line. UIS OFBR rollback: RTX Driver 581.80 R580 U5, released November 4, 2025. No specific Warzone incompatibility is indicated by Activision.

AMD // RADEON

Adrenalin Edition 25.12.1 — RECOMMENDED FOR WARZONE

Release: December 10, 2025 · AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. Reason: Activision explicitly lists 25.12.1 for Warzone graphical issues; the newer 26.9.1 is not automatically treated as recommended because there is no newer Warzone-specific confirmation.

Compatible GPUs: Radeon RX 9000, RX 7000, RX 6000 and RX 5000 listed in AMD’s notes, plus compatible mobile models. On notebooks and AIO systems, AMD recommends using the OEM driver first. Known issues: AMD reports possible incorrect shadows in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on some GPUs, but not a Warzone-specific incompatibility that would invalidate Activision’s official recommendation.

UIS OFBR rollback: Adrenalin 25.11.1, the previous official release dated November 13, 2025. For downgrading, AMD recommends its own Cleanup Utility.

INTEL // ARC

Intel Graphics 32.0.101.8531 — RECOMMENDED FOR WARZONE

Type: Intel Arc Graphics Windows / Game On branch. Reason: Activision explicitly lists 32.0.101.8531 for Warzone. It is a game-specific choice, not simply the latest Intel driver.

Compatible GPUs: Intel Arc A-Series and B-Series families and Intel Arc GPUs integrated into supported Core Ultra processors. On OEM systems, check the manufacturer’s driver first. Known issues: no Warzone incompatibility is reported on Activision’s page; issues affecting other games or APIs do not amount to a documented Warzone problem.

UIS OFBR rollback: 32.0.101.8425, the previous Intel Arc package; if your PC manufacturer distributes a customized version, use that as the rollback reference.

Intel Arc Graphics Windows →

On laptops and prebuilt PCs, also check the manufacturer’s website: a generic driver may not include every device-specific customization. AMD explicitly notes this in its documentation.

The choice in 30 seconds

Is Warzone stable? Keep your current driver. Save the version number before changing it.

Crashes or glitches after updating? Compare the manufacturer’s release notes; if the issue started at the same time as the update, try rolling back to the previous version.

Fresh installation or new GPU? Download the appropriate driver for your model and operating system from the manufacturer, then check Activision’s guidance for Warzone.

Controlled update

  1. Before: note your GPU model, current driver version, Windows version and the problem you want to solve. Keep the driver package that works.
  2. Download: use the official NVIDIA, AMD or Intel website or, if necessary, the laptop manufacturer’s site. Read compatibility information, fixes and known issues.
  3. Install: close Warzone and graphics applications, follow the manufacturer’s procedure and restart the PC.
  4. Compare: let shader preloading finish in the Warzone menu; test the same settings and a session similar to before. Look at crashes, stutters and frame consistency, not just average FPS.

Shaders: Activision warns that leaving the main menu before preloading finishes can cause performance problems. The first launch after an update is not a reliable comparison.

If something goes wrong

Stutters after the update

Wait for shaders, restart and test again with your previous settings. Check background processes and overlays. If the problem persists and began with the new driver, return to the working version.

Crashes or failure to launch

First check the Warzone known issues. On Battle.net use Scan and Repair; on Steam verify the game files. Test without interfering applications, as recommended by Activision.

Black screen or artifacts

Check cables, monitor and refresh rate, then see whether the issue also appears outside the game. If it started with the driver, use Windows rollback or reinstall a compatible official version.

How to roll back

In Windows: Device Manager → Display adapters → your GPU → Properties → Driver → Roll Back Driver, if the button is available. Alternatively, download a previous compatible version from the manufacturer. For AMD, the 26.9.1 notes recommend AMD Cleanup Utility when moving to an older version. Avoid advanced cleanup tools as a first step.

How UIS OFBR evaluates a driver

UIS OFBR labels mean: To verify = official release without documented Warzone testing; Recommended = repeatable Warzone comparison with GPU, Windows version and results specified; Avoid = documented regression with conditions and source. As of September 23, 2026, versions marked “Recommended for Warzone” derive from an official Activision recommendation; they are not proprietary UIS OFBR benchmarks and do not imply that every newer driver is preferable.

AUTOMATIC DRIVER MONITORING ACTIVE

UIS OFBR checks official NVIDIA, AMD, Intel and Activision sources. When a new version is genuinely recommended for Warzone, this page is automatically updated with the driver number, date, rationale, source links and rollback guidance. A simple new release is not presented as recommended until there is reliable Warzone-specific confirmation.
